Green Valley Open Space Park Friends Group

Do You Need a Friend?

Well, So Do We!

Please.... Let's Talk

The new 135 acre Green Valley Community Park Could use your help and assistance.  A New organization, the Green Valley Open Space Park Friends Group is Being Established by the GVC-Foundation.  The Friends Group will coordinate with Pima County’s Flood Control & Management District to assist in park planning and maintenance.

Becoming a Friend is easy.  The park is a public park open to all but as a friend you can help the park with special events, keep HOAs and the Public aware of current information and activities.  Helping with light maintenance and green users, informing park management of issues and tracking usage are just some of the many things a Friend can do.

The Friends Group will elect its own Board, which will select the officers.  The Friends Group will meet monthly and work closely with Pima County and its liaison the Green Valley Council Park Advisory Task Force.

Annual membership dues are $25.00 per person, pro-rated on a six-month basis. Charitable donations, membership funds, and grant awards will be used to fund park activities and events.
