The Friends of the Canoa Parks

The GVC Foundation and Pima County signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to form a friends group that would support the three Pima County public parks in greater Green Valley, that is, the Canoa Hills Trails walking paths, historic Canoa Ranch and Canoa Preserve, the site of the BAJA softball fields. The web site will launch on September 15, 2019.  Memberships are being accepted now.  Memberships will be renewed on an annual basis beginning on January 1, 2021.

The GVC Foundation Receives Grant Award

The GVC Foundation was awarded a $2,000 Grant from the Greater Green Valley Community Foundation.  The grant will help expand the concept of Mitzvah (Good Deed) Day as one of a number of volunteer days that the Foundation’s new Management Group—GOOD DEEDS DONE TOGETHER—will sponsor in 2019 and 2020.  The first Volunteer Day will be  held on Mitzvah Day, November 1, 2019.  To volunteer click on Good Deeds Done Together Volunteer Sign-Up Button.
