January 28 Friends Meeting!

In Case You Missed It: Friends of the Canoa Parks had an official meeting today! The turnout was amazing, and the community involvement in this effort is unbeatable! Thanks to all who joined us, and those who voiced their concerns and asked engaging questions!

Debbie Kenyon inviting Jim Brewer, BAJA President and Chair of the Canoa Preserve Steering Committee, to speak about BAJA’s involvement in the county park and their sense of ownership.

Doug Kenyon, SAV Commander, was invited to speak about the Sheriff’s Auxiliary involvement in all 3 parks, with focus on the vehicle that is able to patrol the parks.

Lunch & Learn was a HIT!

Kimber Lanning, Founder of Local First Arizona Foundation, visited Green Valley, AZ today as our speaker for the Lunch & Learn; a collaborative effort of our GV/Sahuarita Chamber, GVC Foundation Economic Development Group, Az19, and Green Valley News. This effort was in attempt to help businesses and community members understand the significance of supporting the businesses we already have. Just a little sample of what’s to come at the Rural Policy Conference that’s being hosted right here in Green Valley, AZ August 2020!
